task 1

Portfolio task 1

This table provides information about the sales at a small restaurant in a downtown American business district. These sales are from one week of October 7th-13th. This report will analyze the important trends.

The overall trend for this table is that the sales for the dinner are much more than sales for the lunch. For example, the total sale at lunch time is $14,270 while the total sales for dinner were $21,968. We can see that on Friday the sales are the highest in the week. For the lunch the sale is $2,500 and $4,350 for the dinner. The lowest sales in the week are on Saturday. They took $1,950 for lunch and $2,900 at dinner time. On Monday to Thursday the sales for lunch were approximately the same. Dinner sales also didn’t vary much.

All in all, the overall picture is that the sales for lunch are lower than dinner sales in the week.
